I cannot sign into msn web messenger.
No the servers for msn are not down I have checked.
The time and date for all computers in the house are correct.
I do have Norton with a firewall running. However I have switched msn to the allow position.

Hmm, ive had this before...i restarted my laptop twice...and then tried it again, and it worked!!

Reply:do u have the lateset version of messenger? sometimes it will do that with an older version of messenger it did that when i 7.5 i uninstalled that went to the website and got the latest
