You can browse to the hotmail site easy, but you cant use msn on a PS3.

Make sure you have a internet connection to your ps3. Though you cannot
use msn messenger you can use www.meebo.com. To get to it goto your network section and off you go!

its a web based im system. Not sure if it works on ps3 or not. Worth a try.
