Blocking Msn messenger = blocking hotmail?

If you block someone on MSN messenger, does it block them from sending you e-mail @ your hotmail address too? (same address/login)

Reply:No its not...i blocked and deleted an ex- (various reasons) and she emailed me fine...'blocked' just applies to messenger. (i assume that's coz you can just ignore emails)...if you want to block someone on hotmail there are ways to do that though (you can block address' from sending you anything)
Reply:no, blocking someone on MSN doesn't prevent them from sending you emails on hotmail, i have blocked many people but they can still send emails to me.
Reply:no i dont think so..i would check with hotmail...but there should also be a way to block them on ur email too...
