is there a way for my contacts on msn messenger to know that i APPEAR offline not being REALLY offline ??

you can create a sharing folder ..when the contact goes offline add a file to the folder, when the contact is really offline you will recieve an error message that he/she is offline .. if he/she is using the offline status the sharing folder will update introducing the file
it is a trick just try out ...
