Can you use messenger services to talk to people using a different service, ie Yahoo to Hotmail?

1/ if ur "talk" mean "typing" .... absolutely can, friend...


currently in yahoo messenger (version 8.1 and above) or MSN messenger (currently name is Windows Live Messenger, version 8.5), yahoo %26lt;---%26gt; hotmail users can communicate together ... but the function is very limited, inter-oparation like here,we cant use file sharing, photo sharing, folder sharing, etc... mainly just can have a text chatting and some emotional icons





fyi, even the avatars of yahoo users, hotmail users cant see them as well .... and vice versa





but as long as we just want to type and send the message, it's good enough for most of us....





2/ if ur "talk" mean "voice chat" or "video chat".... we cant do that.....

With all of the problems I've had lately...I'm not to sure anything works the way it's supposed to...lol...I've never tried...really. My primary ID is mainly used for more serious stuff...and my MSN for more lighthearted...
Reply:Hotmail and yahoo at the very least are compatible, i use both and have all my contacts from both on both services.

Reply:My hot mail is separate and suppose I like to keep it that way. Although some contacts do have my hot mail addy.
