First of all, log on to your MSN account on MSN Messenger.
Once you've done so, click on the small white envelope on your top left hand corner. A window should open and lo! there's your hotmail account (and not outlook!)
On MSN Messenger how can I open my hotmail, not outlook?
go to
www.hotmail.com
because u made the outlook as your default program for mail.

just click on it
