when u sign up for an email account can u use the messenger with the same account or do u need to make a diff. account, and will ur email be your i'm messenger name?

Your Hotmail email address is the same email address that you will need to use to sign-in to use Windows Live Messenger or Windows Messenger.

Reply:Yes, each hotmail account has an IM account with it. You use your email address and email password to sign into the messenger. Your logon name will be your email but your "messenger" name can be changed to whatever you want others to see you as.
