any ideas why this is happening? its happening on all 3 of our computers at home.
Msn messenger error message 80048820 and hotmail webpage wont open?
i reckon it's either your internet conection or its settings. however if other websites are opening fine it would not be your connection but your settings that has disabled the cookies or something. sometimes it's the msn server which temporary plays up. try uninstalling and intalling the msn again. or try webmessenger.msn.com (no www in front of this url). also try contacting the msn lot as they do get back to you quite quickly.

Reply:hi. the same thing happened to me a few months ago.
This happend when your Internet Explorer is not properly configured.... i bet you are using another browser like Opera or Mozilla.
If you can get IE to open up www.msn.com, then msn messenger automatically starts working.
Go to IE, click on tools and Internet options and connections, lan settings and make sure your usual internet connection in showing up there.
