Messenger wont work? hotmail does?!?

last night and this morning my messenger will not let me sign in, i keep getting error number

but using the same pc/same open messenger i can sign into my other accounts, also my hotmail works through hotmail.com. whats wrong with it?

Reply:It's all part of Yahoo's general slow demise. They don't know what they're doing, it's all sliding inexorably downhill, and before long will crash completely.


Make sure you have another email account (hotmail, googlemail, whatever), download Skype as a backup for Instant Messenger (it's a lot more solid ~ less dropouts), and if you happen to have a Yahoo360 blog, go look into Multiply instead.


Yahoo have been sucking for months now ~ and no info from them, no updates ~ nyada.
Reply:Try deleting your browsing history, cookies etc... then restore to yesterday (or when it worked ok) then try again... Failing that, uninstall and re-install... Happens with me a lot of the time :)
Reply:ya that happened to me too.but it ends up my hotmail messager wouldnt work at all it kept saying try later or giving me # but then my yahoomessager works. so im suk wit this yahoomessager. i hate it but i have to use it..stupid hotmail messager.


im sry im not good at computers but if that messager cant work then dowload a new messager/

Reply:i got the same problem, but webmessenger, isnt that great and it doesn't need update cuz thats what i tried....


i read somwhere that if you type regedit into run you should go to hkey_current_user, software, microsoft, MSNmessenger, than policies, they said delete the policies link and it should work.,.....many people said it worked but the only problem is that i couldn't find it under what i just told, u... tell me if you find it and if it works....
