I know how to sign in to MSN messenger but how do you get to hotmail like to check your email??

If you log into msn with your main computer program and then hotmail on meebo or ebuddy...you should be able to pull it off.

I have recently reinstalled windows, and installed everything again, i cannot get into msn or hotmail through the browser, when i try to log into msn this is what comes up:
"We were unable to log you into messenger, several fail attempts have occurred, please check if a firewall is blocking it"
i go to check and find out the firewall snit blocking it at all, when i go into the mozilla firefox browser, and try to log into hotmail from there, this is what comes up:
Secure Connection Failed
login.live.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate will not be valid until 19/06/2008 10:00 AM.
(Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)
* This could be a problem with the server's configuration, or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.
* If you have connected to this server successfully in the past, the error may be temporary, and you can try again later.
i have no idea why this is happening, because every other site works on mozilla firefox. thanks

I've had my account for, like say 7 months now, but, suddenly, after my computer rebuilt and i finally installed my wireless adapter, ethernet cable, i went online 2 check my e-mail, i type my password correctly, then next thing i know, the tab just says lockout and on the web page it says you've tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect password, when i only tried once, and i was positive my password was correct! but the only thing i could think of, was that somebody hacked into my account and either changed my password, or worse! deleted my hotmail account! Somebody please! I need help, FAST! or i'm maybe thinking there is a virus in my account or something and hotmail is locking me out to protect my computer, i know that might sound crazy but both my accounts are preventing me! but i made a new one and that seems fine, but the other 2 i'm worried about! pleez help! I keep getting popup notifications for random emails, they seem to be spam as they have dodgey names. The thing is, when I click the popup to take me to my inbox, it says -
"The message you selected could not be found. It may have been moved or deleted. Please click the folder again to refresh the view."
When I refresh, it takes me to the same page, and when I click on my inbox, there isn't any email there? Not in my inbox OR junk folder.

Cannot log into online mail and instant messenger accounts (yahoo mail, gmail, hotmail)?
So i go online, type in yahoo.com and click on the "mail" icon. Then it says it cannot be display, check your connection or spelling etc....this happens for all other online mail accounts too. And you can make your name more abundant and neater by creating your own with your favorite saying or lyrics or etc chocked up with the smileys so its kinda fun. And i heard the webcam there was clearer too, i didn't have a cam to check tho. But i didn't like it as much as yahoo messenger. Maybe because i can't go to rooms there, or I don't know how. Anyway i think if you like the new thing or better appearance looking you might like msn, me too, but i wasn't addicted to it, so i think maybe you too. Anyway it's worth a try.

All other websites work fine apart from hotmail, and also all day I haven't been able to sign in to messenger. I tried to download it again (incase there was an updated version out) but the installation also failed!! I've tried restarting my computer, everything else works fine. Changing hotmail password through msn messenger?
Ok, so i forgot my password but i still can open my messenger because I have the option of signing in automatically. Is there a way I can reset or change my password throgh the messenger?
I麓ve tried a lot of ways, it nver give me the option of responding the secret question, and whenever i click on reset password, through the normal hotmail way, it says that the instructions to reset the password have been sent to my email (which is pretty stupid to send it to the same email i lost my password and cant access to it)

Can you delete your hotmail, but keep the email address for MSN messenger access? I get email to my hotmail, and it's not activated. I've had this address for a few years and it's not active, but I access MSN messenger regularly. Hotmail and windows live messenger doesn't work on my internet connection?
everytime i log onto hotmail.com it loads the page but when start to log in my account it wont! and also, i can not log into my windows live messenger but i can log into my yahoo messenger and yahoo mail and all other websites are working. I have the same internet connection as my neighbor's and when i tried to connect to hotmail/windows msngr using their connection and my same laptop it connected without any fuss! i have a feeling it has something to do with the firewall or internet connection.. please help me i really need my windows live!

I can't sign into msn messenger on my hotmail, but i can on my mom's?
So every time I try to sign into msn on my hotmail account, the two little guys go around for awhile and then all of the sudden msn freezes, and then my entire computer freezes. -_-'. Last night I uninstalled msn and messenger plus then reinstalled them, but still the same thing. So today I decided to see if it would sign my mom in. It froze for a second, but then signed her in. So I signed her out, and tried to sign me in, and it froze again. I'm ready to lose my mind. Does anyone know whats going on?

I don't know about the populace at large, but back when I was a kid using Windows, MSN Messenger was the first app I knew about that did instant messaging, so I and all my friends used it 鈥?more or less because we didn't know any better. To this day, I still have that Hotmail/MSN Messenger account just in order to avoid losing those contacts. Otherwise, I'm on AIM for anyone new I meet, and occasionally Skype.

Reply:Yes, each hotmail account has an IM account with it. You use your email address and email password to sign into the messenger. Your logon name will be your email but your "messenger" name can be changed to whatever you want others to see you as.

MSN service might actually be updating at the moment so give it some time and check it later. i just checked mine and it was working fine. Try restarting your computer maybe.

you can use MSN with a different than Hotmail e-mail, but you will have to change your settings I guess, once you closed your hotmail.
as for exporting your addressbook from hotmail, there is a way, you can go to your contacts, then on the top right Options/ Export contacts
You can export your contacts to a CSV file format. This allows you to save them to your computer or transfer them to other e-mail services.
when you save them you can do either as an csv file or open with spreadsheet. up to you,
when you open your new e-mail account, then import the contacts from the saved file.
Outlook is not an e-mail provider it is a program that you can use to e-mail via your e-mail address provided through your Internet Service Provider.

First of all, sign into your yahoo account on messenger.
Then, update your messenger by :
1. Select Help Menu
2. Click on Check for Updates.
3. Then a new Internet Explorer window will open and inform you whether you version of messenger is up to date or not. If it isnt, follow the simple steps given on that page and download it to update your messenger. And if it is already updated, then its great!!
Then when updated, do the following:

Can Sign Into Hotmail, But Not Messenger! Help Needed!?
I have a strange problem.
I cannot sign into Windows Live Messenger using my main email address. I CAN still access Hotmail, and other Microsoft related websites with this email. But Messenger will not sign me in.
Since I can access my mail, it is not an issue with my password. The error message I get is 81000306. This relates to a problem with internet connectivity, but that is not the case. My internet is running smoothly, and also I can sign into any other email address on Messenger EXCEPT my one main account.
I have tried using web-based messengers like e-buddy and IloveIM, and even MSN's official web messenger. They also will not let me sign into this ONE account.
I have contacted Microsoft, and they have tried twice to help me, but cannot. I have also deleted and reinstalled Messenger 2008 AND 2009. I have tried logging in on other peoples' computers, with different internet providers.
NOTHING is working, and I do not want to lose this account.
I am wondering if anyone out there has experienced this same problem or knows how to fix it?

Note: This command disables the Window Auto Tuning feature.
